H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region, affirmed that the United Arab Emirates has become a global model in empowering women and supporting them across various levels and vital sectors.

In a statement marking Emirati Women’s Day, His Highness said that these achievements are the result of the continuous efforts led by H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Nation”, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation. These efforts are crowned today by the launch of the “Mother of the Nation 50:50 Initiative”, which aims to empower women and enhance their vital role in society at the local, regional, and global levels over the next fifty years.

His Highness also highlighted the significant and ongoing support of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who places women’s issues as a strategic priority within the UAE’s vision and its continuous pursuit of comprehensive and sustainable development across key national sectors.

On this occasion, H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan said:

“On the 28th of August each year, we celebrate Emirati Women’s Day – a cherished national occasion that reflects the UAE’s deep appreciation for the limitless contributions of women. On this day, we take pride in the achievements made in advancing women’s empowerment, expanding their active participation across all fields, and reinforcing their role as a cornerstone of nation-building and as active partners in its progress, development, and prosperity.”
