His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has received Sam Brownback, United States, US, Ambassador-at-large for International Religious Freedom, at Al Bahr Palace.

The President of the Forum for Promoting Peace in Muslim Societies and Chairman of the Fatwa Council of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah bin Bayyah, accompanied Brownback.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and the US diplomat discussed cooperation and friendship between the two countries and ways to enhance the culture of tolerance, co-existence and peace among all peoples and countries of the world.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed emphasised that the UAE was established on the principles of tolerance, harmony, and respect for all cultures and all peoples of the world that is deemed the main pillar for development, prosperity and progress of nations and a better future for future generations.

Brownback hailed the UAE's initiatives and important humanitarian approaches aimed at spreading the culture of tolerance, acceptance of others, and coexistence among various peoples.

He also indicated that the country has guaranteed an environment of freedom and security for millions of peoples who are living on its land from various region of the world.

Among those who attended the meeting were H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Deputy Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region; H.H. Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region; H.H. Sheikh Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan; H.H. Sheikh Issa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, and H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior.
